About the event
For the past three years, I have returned to Civita di Bagnoregio, spending at least a week each time walking its paths, sitting in its quiet corners, and learning its rhythms through my sketchbook. This town, suspended between sky and valley, reveals itself slowly—to those who pause, observe, and draw.
This three-day workshop is an invitation to do just that together.
We will explore Civita not as a destination, but as an experience—through lines that wander, colors that breathe, and moments that cannot be captured by photographs alone. Each day unfolds with a different way of seeing, guiding you gently toward a deeper connection with place and process.
Day 1 — Small Windows into the Town
We begin with vignette studies, drawing small and slow. These focused sketches help us understand composition, framing, and negative space, allowing the complexity of the town to reveal itself piece by piece.
