Bending Perspective Workshop - Minneapolis

Perspective doesn’t always have to follow the rules. In this workshop, we’ll explore playful ways to bend, stretch, and exaggerate perspective to create urban sketches that feel more dynamic, personal, and expressive.

Using the layered architecture and open space of Riverplace as our subject, we’ll look beyond traditional one- and two-point perspective and experiment with curved viewpoints, shifting vanishing points, and intentionally distorted forms. We’ll explore how a wide scene can wrap around the page, how buildings can lean and expand to strengthen a composition, and how foreground and background elements can work together to create a stronger sense of depth.
